Having some Fun with the Joys of the Season Cricut Cartridge!!
Happy Friday everyone!! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!! A few weeks ago I picked up a small wreath at the dollar store and wanted to make it a Christmas wreath for a friend. I pulled out my Christmas cartridges and looked for a poinsettia I could do layers with and found one I liked on the Joys of the Seasons cartridge. I played around cutting out different sizes until I found the ones I liked best. For the leaves I actually used the new Art Philosophy cartridge. Hope you enjoy!!
When I die cut the banner I did it twice once on paper and once on poster board so it would be more sturdy. |
Recipe Cricut Expression Joys of the Season Cricut Cartridge Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge Cuts I used for the flowers Large 2 at 2.5 inches and 2 at 1.5 inches Medium 2 at 2 inches and 2 at 1 inch Small 2 at 1.5 inches and 2 at 1 inch Leaves cut at 1.5 inches, 1 inch and 3/4 inch Tim Holtz distress ink antique linen used to make veins on the cream flowers on the red I used a red marker from Stampin' Up on the leaves I used my stylus to give them some texture. The Banner is from My Creative Time Build a Banner Kit (Love it) Cotton Thread (JoAnns) Other items used: Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Vintage Photo) Middle of flowers Recollections Microbeads (Michael's) and Stampin' Up Champagne Glitter Glass Spray glitter over entire wreath Noel stamped with CTMH A Typeface stamp set Stampin' Up Cherry Cobbler Ink pad All the paper I used was from my scraps |

Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge 59 with a Twist!!
Good Morning Everyone and Happy Labor Day!! I have made a 5 x 7 card for this Peachy Keen challenge the twist was to add buttons. I made this card for my nephew who will be 23 this month. When he was little (4 to 9 years old) we took him camping at least twice a month with us and he loved it so much we decided to invite him along with us this year for his birthday. Since he has gotten older he always tells me he does not want anything for his BDay anymore lets just go out to dinner he says! Well this year I surprised him with a weekend of camping he was soooo excited and we all can't wait to go. We are doing it a little differently this time we rented a cabin because we sold are pop up years ago. Thank you Dad and Mom for house and dog sitting for us while we are away!! Hope you enjoy my card!! To check out the Peachy Keen challenges just click there button on the right side of my blog. Have a safe and fantastic Labor Day!!

Missing In Action.....Here is why!!!
Good Morning I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend. Here in Wisconsin I woke up to snow on the ground. ( I thought it was Spring) LOL!!! I have been MIA for awhile because I have been helping my sister in-law with a project. Her daughter is in 7th grade and they are responsible for the 8th grade pre graduation dinner and dance. (Invites, table place cards decorations ext.) So since I have the Cricut Expression and she has the baby bug I told her I would be happy to help her cut out all the pieces she needed. I had a great time with it and we are almost finished. The theme for the pre graduation was a Night of a Thousand Stars!! Here are some pictures of what I have been up to. Hope you enjoy!!!
